The sextet, who is leading the Kpop world with their sharp and fast dance moves and stylish visuals, is making their first appearance in POTATO! One should pay attention to the boys who are quickly gaining popularity after holding their first nationwide Arena tour♪
The sexy performances that were put up for the first time was also a big success!
Since this is your first appearance in POTATO, please start off by introducing yourselves.
Niel: I’m a bright, fun and good kid, Niel.
L.Joe: I’m L.Joe, who is usually quiet and serious about everything.
Ricky: (In Japanese) I am an angel. I descended from the sky. Both my face and personality are just like that of an angel. (Laughs)
Changjo: I’m a boy who is always kind hearted and has good manners.
C.A.P: I’m C.A.P, who is always full of ambition and passionate at times.
Chunji: I’m a youth who likes bringing happiness to people. I upload cool photographs on Twitter for the fans!
It hasn’t been long since you ended the Arena tour in mid February, where you toured 4 prefectures in Japan. How was it?
Changjo: Just like the declaration I made before the tour to show a sexy performance, I think I was able to show a slightly adult-like image. The sexy dance was embarrassing when I was practicing, but I was able to do it wellduring the actual concert!
L.Joe: Besides the concerts, we spent all of our time in the hotel, so we couldn’t really go out. For the tour itself, we were really excited and enjoyed ourselves at all of the concerts.
You are of the same generation as the POTATO readers. How did you spend your school days?
Chunji: I was a student who was active and close with my friends. I was also a boy scout and even took on the role of a leader. My best subject was History and I was bad at Math. Was I popular…? Well… Maybe a little. (Laughs)
Niel: That’s a lie. Chunji was very popular!
C.A.P: I was a quiet student with no sense of presence. (Laughs) I liked Art, so I studied that enthusiastically.
Changjo: I was an honest kid who was bright and stopped my friends when they fought. I guess I was pretty serious.
Ricky: I have been working in the entertainment industry since I was young, so I was a little celebrity in school. According to school rules, boys had to have short hair, but I was a special student who was exempted from that rule. (Laughs) I was a mischievous boy and my best subject was Math~
L.Joe: I spent my middle school days in America. I was a pure student who wouldn’t even be able to confess to the girl I like. There was an Asian girl and although we liked each other, she moved away… My love ended just like that. It was a shame…
Niel: I was a sociable, lively and mischievous boy who would cause small commotions. I was also a child actor, so I was a celebrity at school. (Laughs)
Is there any Japanese celebrity whom you would like to meet or admire?
Changjo: I really like Ishihara Satomi.
Ricky: She is really pretty, right! When I saw her photo, I started liking her.
C.A.P: Oguri Shun. I thought he was really cool when I saw the movie ‘Crows Zero’, so I became a fan.
L.Joe: I’m interested in Johnny’s idol groups, such as Arashi and Sexy Zone!
What type of girls do you like? How do you change when you fall in love?
Ricky: I like someone who can get along with me. Previously, I thought that it would be good if she was older than me, but now it doesn’t matter. ♥
L.Joe: Someone whose nape and bare face are pretty. I don’t like people with thick makeup… Everyone, how would I be if I were in love?
Members: You are usually shy, but you seem like you will be passionate and devoted when you get together with someone. How’s that?
L.Joe: That’s right. (Laughs)
Niel: I like understanding and caring girls. I think that I will also become passionate when I fall in love.
Chunji: I think that a girl with long hair, a cute smile and bright personality will be good. I want to get married early. ♥ I want to get married before I’m 30 years old and have children.
C.A.P: My ideal girl is someone who suits short hair and has the ability to control my feelings well. I guess I’m quite cool when it comes to relationships.
L.Joe: Like you don’t chase after those who leave?
Niel: No, he will cling on right? (Laughs)
C.A.P: There’s a possibility that I will still be attached to her.
Changjo: My type of girl is someone whom I get along with and has a cute smile. If I fall in love, I want to give her everything that she desires!

Niel: Salty French fries.
C.A.P: The mashed potatoes that is placed next to steak as accompaniment.
